The company carries out specific research in the areas of energy and technological sciences related to renewable energy generation.

Research

  The company recognizes the importance of continuous research, and intends to allocate significant human and financial resources for maintaining high levels or research activities. Due to the extremely wide range of applied research that these products require, the company utilizes external research laboratories and institutions along with in-house research programs. Since the different applied research programs are interconnected and are intended to have many connecting links in order to serve the complexity of energy generation at the highest levels, the company intends to develop an Applied Research Center, with an eye for development into a facility that will serve the larger needs of the European Union in the fields of traditional energy and renewable energy generation.

The core activity of our company is the servicing of energy systems’ manufacturing and operating industrial sector. Energy production and use are sensitive to many different factors and also sensitive to changes in climate in ways that are not very well understood, and the implications of climate change for energy supply are less clear than for energy demand. Climate change has major effects on energy supply and demand, not only by climatic factors (and by this, the availability of biomass generation) but also on patterns of economic growth, land use, population growth, technological change, and social and cultural trends that shape individual and societal actions. Depending upon the magnitude of these changes in energy consumption, it is necessary to consider changes in energy supply or energy conservation practices to balance demand. Energy supply requirements have a major effect on the resources used to energy generation. Additionally, and interestingly, there is a new concept in development that suggests the utilization of mini or local grid system instead of the less effective national grids, which again is among our core interests. Our company is prepared to offer solutions to these issues. Similarly to electrical energy supply, our company offers flexible solutions for gas or liquid fuels (syngas, synthetic natural gas, bio-diesel or other hydrocarbon) for transportation or other industrial and public use. These energy systems are strongly influenced by local conditions.

 

 Green energy technologies

The need for clean, domestically produced energy has never been greater, and our company is positioned to deliver clean and affordable energy to our customer. The energy challenges that a country faces cannot be solved by any single approach, therefore our company intends to suggest and assist to introduce clean energy technologies to capture the sun, harness the wind, and utilize the earth’s natural and geothermal energy and other waste material renewable resources.  The employment of abundant, renewable biomass resources to provide a secure and growing supply of transportation fuels, electric power, and bio- products can reduce foreign oil and energy dependence, decrease impact on climate (better adherence to the Kyoto agreement), stimulate economic growth and create green jobs.

Fuel cells and hydrogen in particular can play a vital role in diversifying Hungary’s energy supply. Fuel cells can efficiently produce electricity from numerous fuels. The basic building blocks for such cells can be produced by TCG technology, including syngas, natural syntetic gas (methane), methanol, diesel and hydrogen. Because they can be built in different sizes and scales, fuel cells can provide power for practically any application, with tremendous flexibility.

 Green Transportation

According to ExxonMobil’s research and forecasts, global economic growth will drive a steep increase in energy demand for commercial transportation over the next 30 years, and demand for energy for commercial transportation will rise by more than 70 percent.  Although conventional gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles will become much more efficient over the coming years, the fuel efficiency increase will not meet government targets in terms of energy savings. The vast majority of light duty vehicles will be hybrids that use mainly gasoline plus small amount of battery power, plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles, along with compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) powered vehicles. Unicorp Inc. has the ability to provide guidance and assistance to customers in establishing a TCG technology-based energy system that will produce from synthetic gas (in a second-stage processing) synthetic natural gas (SNG) that is compatible with natural gas (NG). In comparison to NG, SNG has the significant advantage that during utilization it emits 60% less contaminants, making it a far cleaner fuel source. Being highly flexible and adjustable according to the customer’s needs, TCG plants are capable of producing synthetic gas that has a hydrogen content as high as 80%, giving them the ability in a practical sense to operate as a energy-efficient hydrogen manufacturing system. This process can provide the introduction of a hydrogen-based energy system in an area where there was none before.












 Green Cities

The Green City is a relatively new concept, carrying the regionally unique and sometimes conflicting visions of forms common to any emerging models. A green city must go further to include an examination of know the primary form of human habitat – the city – might be structured ecologically.  Cities are the powerhouses of the global economy and contribute centrally to innovation and the development and dissemination of knowledge, therefore the cities will be the defining element of the global future. The future global economy will be one that maximizes efficiency in the use of land, water and energy, thereby conserving resources, reducing impact on the environment and enhancing livability.  In short, the concept of the green city is a biologically, socially and economically relevant idea; it affords richer and more diverse environments, is cheaper to do and maintain, and is entirely practical. It is something that both governments and individuals can act on. A long-term investment in things like soil fertility, perpetuation of forests, sustainable energy generation and self-reliance and environmental stability may be seen to be a better bargain than quick profits at the expense of the future. In a more colloquial sense, it is expected that waste utilization, recirculation of metals and materials, energy self-reliance and many similarly important aspects are the focal point of the community.
